Good sign? SAE no longer available from mint (2003)...sold out.
So, according to the latest NN I received, the SAE was very close to selling out.
I just looked online and the product is no longer available.
750,000 is a lot of them, but, since they sold out before year's end, maybe there are more collectors for them? Or, just more people buying them in larger groups to try to resell?
This is my first year buying them from the mint directly, so I don't know how to look at the fact of the sellout (positively I hope).
Any thoughts?
Ron

SAE=Silver American Eagle
ASE=American Silver Eagle
They are both the same but people use both abbreviations.

Hmmm, I don't know if it's a positive sign or not. I'm assuming by your question that they don't normally sell out before the end of the year? Which if that's the case, I would have to guess that it's a positive sign since the demand is probably higher than normal.
Of course, someone who knows what the hell they're talking about should be better able to help you out.
