Just a heads up about an ebay seller.

I purchased a morgan dollar from VAMSANDMORE on 10/03/03. I never received the coin and to date I have been unable to get a refund even though I paid for insurance on the coin shipment. Today I tried to reach them via email and the messages bounced. I know some of you dont like people complaining about ebay sellers but I think this case is justified.

I started to leave negative feedback for the seller but ebay offered a mediation service called Squaretrade and I thought I would give it a shot. I will give them the suggested 4 days then leave negative feedback whether the case is resolved or not. There is just no excuse for that sort of behavior.

F**K Square Trade! Ebay, from what I gather per my brother-in-law, covers, to a degree, refunds for such merchant antics. How long awaiting satisfaction...I do not know. IMO...You've waited long enough!

Don't be too quick to condem the seller. If I sold an ebay coin that was insured and it got lost I would have to wait 30 days to file a claim. Then you(the buyer) must sign the claim form saying you did not recieve the item. When this step is completed I would issue a full refund including postage and insurance. It's a long wait but it is the safest way for the seller to protect himself against a scam. Now if we were talking a $20 coin I would refund right away- then again I would not insure a $20 coin

We are talking about a 25 coin plus 6.05 in shipping and insurance fees. I have not heard anything from the seller since the 16th of last month despite 3 POLITE emails requesting a status update. If he had told me that he had to wait 30 days to submit a claim I would have remained patient. I sent two emails today several hours apart and both bounced. Maybe his email server is down right now ... who knows?

It sucks you have to call to find your morgan. you must have done something wrong you know it can't be a crappy ebay seller

Since I'm just now signing my settlement with SquareTrade in order to dimiss my lawsuit I can tell you SquareTrade is comprised of weasels.

The terms of the settlement are confidential, but I did turn them into the IRS Tax Fraud hotline before signing.
