buying stuff from just anyone thats selling coins.
I think theres more than a few here now that they,re sole purpose is the sell junk for overstated grade and value
and NOT really interact with the forum members in the coin hobby/ chit chat since.
When buying a coin, here or elsewhere, it usually pays to ask a few questions to a few different people
about it first.
Sorry to hear about the bum deal.
what did i get
a nice 1964D quarter ef-40
a g-4 1905 indian cent.
thats all gfor the good.
what i got
a 1903 or 1893 bent.
a bunch of whears in bad shape from worn out or coroded .i think the 1913 could be bitting with bumps.
a few damage coins.
a 1943 in g that has been cleaned and polished.
a few other damaged coins.
some coin holders 2x2 cardboard cheap ones.
a few very worn merc dimes 1920,(2)35, a1936 dime a 1918 ag-3 if you want to call it that/ag-3 or g-4
these wouldnt even be fit for trade with teh Y/N's
oh well
I think the best thing is to buy in person. if you can't do that, stick with people you know or get pictures of the coins before hand. Barring that, buy from people who are known to people that you do know.
At times, I have also made a small test purchse from a person I have never dealt with before to see what they deliver.
I cannot think of a place that I would be less likely to buy a coin from than an AOL IM.
CoinPeople.com || CoinWiki.com || NumisLinks.com
one other person i dealt with coinsforver on AOL i think he might be a member here hes from NY. anyway i did one deal with him also via AOL and it workedout nicely. so there are some honest people.
and to think that i was thinking i would do more business with this person. at least my 1885 from ebay i gota pic and asked you all about it first
which my payment is going out and then you will all see the coin when i get it.
I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.
Always looking for nice type coins
