Has the class action status of the suit been approved by a judge?

This has been all over the newspapers...there are articles at www.kitco.com as well...
How exactly are you supposed to add your name onto the suit out of curiosity?

That would be more like 1.5 billion for the lawyers, .4 billion for costs, and a few pennies each leftover for class members.

Each class member will probably get a certificate "enabling" them to buy 1 oz of gold at spot.

The lawyers are only gonna get 1.5 Billion....that doesn't sound right for some reason.

Oh yeah, Michael... a good beer battered fish will ruin ya on the rest. Top of my list is walleye, but it's too hot down here so I'm stuck chasing catfish. In fact, I hear them calling right now....

I believe Blanchard is in Louisiana. Was the suit filed in Federal or State Court?

    This case is going forward!

Should be very interesting given the JPM connection and what will be uncovered.

Yes, Blanchard has just sent me a bunch of propaganda about their case.

But only if they make an additional $1 million purchase.

These so-called "class action" suits are strictly for the benefit of the lawyers.
    All glory is fleeting.

Even the lawyers may not benefit on this one. Go to the website and read some of the stuff about the case. It sounds like a really really hard case to prove. We're talking about a worldwide manipulation of the price of gold over a long period of time. Sounds like a decade or so of legal work "on the come."

It will be thrown out.............because it is "ridiculous" that the lawyers will only get $1.5 BILLION. They deserve the whole $2 BILLIONimage

I grew up on the Mississippi River. Half my younger life was eating personally caught fish. Bass, Bluegill, Perch, Crappie, Sunfish and all of them were battered in beer.

But, the "piece de resistance" whole catfish, gutted and beer batterred and deep fried, head tail and all. Add some cornbread and fries and a big mug of iced tea and that was heaven. Makes my taste buds water just thinking about it.

With regards to the subject of the post, I intend to look into it. As a gold bullion buyer for quite a few years now, I'd like to know what damages they may have done to me. I am certain there has been a manipulation in all bullion but gold is the big boy.

It would be remarkable to see how that market would work with the leg irons removed. How you can get away with selling the same physical piece of metal to hundreds of buyers with all of them having legal claim is something I just can't abide by. The market must be made physical as an accurate reflection of the true inventory. That would put alot of shysters out of the business and allow for the common man to put something away of value that can't be toyed with by the big guys who pull the strings.

The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."

Ok I'll admit it. I've been the one manipulating the price of gold. I'll stop though if you promise to quit whining about it. Now let's get down to eatin' some catfish.

Class action suits pay BIG dividends...to the lawyers. You get squat! I don't even get involved. I get things in the mail all the time that, based on airline records, company files, etc. that I qualify to take part. I toss the $hit away. The more people in the class, the more money for the attorneys.

I remember when I was notified that I was eligible for a class action suit against American Airlines. I, along with thousands of other consumers, was overcharged by $400.00 for airline tickets. I foolishly thought I would get my money back. In the end, the settlement resulted in millions of dollars for the lawyers and I got an airline voucher good for $400.00 of a "regular scheduled airline fare" to be used within the year. "Regular scheduled airline fare" means the full price...you know...the one NOBODY ever pays! Even after subtracting the $400.00 from the regular scheduled airline fare you still pay almost double of what you could buy a discounted fare for.

Class action suits suck and lawyers that make their living on class action suits suck. They give respectable attorneys a bad name.

    Just my eversohumble opinion.

    Cheers,

    Bob
