I think I'm going to be sick...

Take a look at this and this

Wayte Raymond toning? My aunt's FANNY!

This $hit makes me sick.

  • Strange how both coins are from the same seller with the same toning...... Seems quite common with his coins, whether they were in a "Wayte Raymond" album or not...

  • Yeah - I saw those too - the blowtorch buttwipe is at it again.
  • I don't know if it's the photography or what, but a lot of his other coins look really sick.

  • A lot of this guy's toned coins have this look. He scours the earth searching for coins fitting just this pattern.
  • Amazing how many uninsured coins never make it to the buyers. He states the PO is terrible. His feedback shows 3 lost packages in the last 200 transactions. Funny thing, I have shipped 1600 or so and the USPS has lost 0 of those packaes, insured or not. image
  • "coin is from old Wayte Raymond holder"

yeah, that old Wayte Raymond holder is getting a lot of use considering the guy is popping every coin he has through it just so he can say that.image

Looks cleaned and then AT'd. The luster is so flat even with the AT.

This guy is a crook. Just look at his overgraded junk-I particularly like his non-images of the reverse of Buffalo nickels-they are all "weak strikes"=wear.
I especially like his "The Post Office lost it" line. I worked at the Post Office for 33 years-I KNOW theft is an extremely rare occurrance there, yet this guy has a propensity of losing stuff when mailed. Maybe it's never sent????
  • What's the ratio of crooks to honest sellers on eBay ?
Every time I think about using eBay, I read yet another
horror story about somebody getting scammed, robbed,
or otherwise taken to the cleaners by some lowlife who
somehow manages to continue doing business on eBay.

think I'll stay away for now and buy my coins from honest
    dealers and fellow board members.

  • I've seen the occasional heavily toned Pilgrim, with some wild colors. But Huguenots almost always
tone a dull pink or gray.

As for both sides being toned in the almost exact same manner, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    Blowtorch or sterno ??
