Need help on a 1955-D Washington Quarter

This is a slabbed coin graded at MS66 - can anyone tell me what the Blue Book price is for this coin - we cannot find it in our copy of the Blue Book ????????

e-coinprices has $500 for it and $70 for a 65. Sounds like one of those coins that one needs to be very careful buying.

So far a pretty tough coin to get in that grade. I've heard it in the $450.00 to $500.00 range as well.

I'm not sure at this point, it is with a friend of mine - it is probably either ANACS, PCI or NUMISTRUST ???

Well I would hope for $70 then if its pci or no one trusts.

The 55d is a extremely tough issue in GEM in the Washington series. These coins came extremely baggy from the mint making GEM coins very tough. Even in mint sets that coins are very bag marked....... PCGs grades these very strickly and I don't believe they have ever graded one in ms67.

Hopefully your coin is in a PCGs or even NGC holder.......

Though I find that NGC allows more marks then PCgs.......
