Need EBay advice

Hi all.
I haven't bought many coins from EBay but recently got an MS66 Kennedy. The coin has a few spots that were not discernable from the photos, so I want to return it. Here's my quandry.

The seller has sold thousands of coins and has a 5 day return policy. I received the coin Friday and immediately told him that I wanted to return it. I sent him the e-mail to the address that sent me an invoice. As of Sunday, no reply, so I sent another E-mail through EBay asking for how he would liek to handle the return.

Tomorrow is the last of my 5 days and he has not returned my E-Mail. Should I just mail the coin back to him? He may be out of town, but I have concerns that if I send it back I will be out of my coin and my money.

Anyone have any advice? The seller has sold tons of coins and has very few negatives.
Tom

I think that it is usually assumed that contact must be made within five days therefore I believe you have fulfilled your obligation. The fact that he hasn't responded is his problem, not yours. If he is a reputable seller, he should have no problem with you shipping it now.

BTW, what are you doing buying Kennedys? image

    Just send it back.

  • You should be able to get his name and phone number. I would not just return it.

    Russ,
Don't worry, I'm not moving in on your turf. I need a nice 1966 or 1966-D in MS66 for my registry set. I can't justify the extra price for an MS67 so am hoping for a PQ 66. This looked nice from the pics, but not a keeper.

Since I have no issue with the seller and will assume he intends to get back with me, I don't mind sharing his name, especially since he has sold so many coins. Does anyone have experience with Centsles?

I've never been able to find a 1966-D graded MS66. I think they must be very rare. image

No worries with Centsles. He'll be johnny on the spot for the return.

Cool. Thanks Russ. If you've got a decent extra MS66 '64, please PM.

Anyone familiar with NHCoin (it's not our friends at RCNH) in New Hampshire. I'm getting a bit antsy with this guy on an authorized refund that was received during the Long Beach show 6 weeks ago.
I haven't heard from him in 3 weeks. Claims to have been in business 45 years and has good feedback. PM me if you know anything of him.
