I am curious as to how many board members are into collecting strictly all white coins and some of your reasons why.
Please if you want to answer any questions below okay if not just respond with an "ALL WHITE" reply...
Do you collect only white coins?
Do you find any kind of toning unattractive?
Do you consider toning damage?
Would you think nothing of buying a coin even if you knew it was previously dipped?
If one of your coins toned through the years would you dip it even if the toning was considered attractive by others?
Do you feel untoned coins should be worth more than toned?

Do you consider toning damage? Not necessarily.
Would you think nothing of buying a coin even if you knew it was previously dipped? I prefer original surfaces.

Do you feel untoned coins should be worth more than toned? If original; YES. If not; NO.
Do you find any kind of toning unattractive? Yes, AT and fugly kind- dark as in black, most spotty/spotlchy types

Would you think nothing of buying a coin even if you knew it was previously dipped? Would pass on most dipped material, and definiitely on any obviuosly dipped piece (i.e., the stuff you can spot in less than a second)

#2: I like most toning. not too picky.
#3: Toning is tecnically damage, but it does protect the surface to a certain extent.
#4: I buy any coin I like, dipped or not.
#5: No, no dipping here.

Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
I've always felt toning is a polite word for tarnish.
I would consider buying if the toning was light.
I would consider buying a dipped coin if the dip was light.
Probably some of the coins I've bought have been dipped
but not enough to lower the grade.
