  • It's a legit golloid metric dollar -and quite rare I'm sure - you might want to put the word "PATTERN" on the title of this thread to get RYK and some of the other pattern dudes to enlighten us.
  • Thanks fellas...What would I do without yas....imageimage

In my 4th ed. there's no pic of this pattern..Obv. is Barber pattern...the rev. isn't(as far as the pic in the text)

  • I wonder what the guy has as a reserve on that coin. Are you going to bid on it Tom? If you dont want it I would sure bid on it.

Well if you can get it for $800 then it would be a good deal.
  • It looks nicer than that NGC one. It will go for over $1,000 for sure.
  • I received the reply.......EXTREMELY HIGH RESERVE.....$2500......image

On what basis is this 'an extremely high reserve'? An n of one as an indicator of value isn't terribly meaningful, particularly if that coin is less attractive and not in a PCGS holder.

  • Welp, I guess you can call it comparing...The NGC-61 that Placid posted in a newer slab vs. the one up for auction, same grade, in a pcgs rattler. It appears to be a $900.00 difference. So to me IT'S EXTREME, since I don't know what the hell I'm doing in the first place....image
