NGC looks like a MS64+ and the raw Morgan looks like a MS63( bad enough hairlines on the face and it would be AU58)

IMHO:
First coin (on top) - MS65 (what luster!!! Wow!)
Second Coin - MS63 or 64

Those are about as bright as any I have ever seen.

The first is better than the second. So, I will Say MS-63+ then MS-62.

I'll say 63/62. The first has wonderful luster, but the surface marks look like it would keep it from the upper MS range. The second has a lot of chatter on the obverse that I think would keep it around a 62. Nice lookers!

MS63 on the first but I'll gander the NGC holder says 64 ~ the 2nd looks MS60 to me

64 & 63. Probably could have been higher since most contact isn't in primary focal area, but the abrasion(s) on the neck(s) is/are severe enough I think to limit them.

The '80S may even have gotten a 65 from NGC.

Nice doubling on the 1880-S. Since I can't grade uncirculated coins, I'll take a guess on the VAM of the 80-S. If there's some doubling in the 0, then my guess is it's a VAM 7.

OK you guys are pretty good! These are digital photographs, light coming from a window and a Tensor lamp.

the first coin the 1880-S is indeed NGC MS64 and I believe thats a good grade, it does have the unfortunate nicks in front of the nose and right in the center of the eagle's breast, but the strike and luster are outstanding and the coin is free of other distractions. It was $40.

The 1885 suffers from quite a few marks on the obverse, limiting that side to MS62 or so, but the reverse is a nice MS65PL and looks better than the picture. Unfortunately, the back cannot carry the grade, and this coin is MS62 overall, maybe 63 on a very good day. Still, quite a bit of coin for $25.

Yep...I thought that dinger was gonna hold it down to 63. A reverse on a Morgan really can't help, but it can hurt.
