The color of Peace.

It's good to be back on the forums. I have been so busy the last couple of months that I haven't been able to visit here much. I thought it might be nice to come back and have a post your colorful Peace dollar thread. I'll kick it off with this one, a NGC MS65.

How about these? Unfortunately, my pics don't do these coins justice! Just 4 more to go to complete the set!

Welcome back. I've put this one up before, but I always love any good excuse. image I found her raw and put her in NGC plastic.

  • I actually got it to work, kind of. Yipee! My first picture!!! It helps to refresh screen a few times if it doesn't come up.

Hey stman, That's a pretty cool (and very hard to locate) toned 1921 Peace dollar.
I'm still looking for one of those myself. Does anyone else have a toned HR Peace to show off?

I do, but the colors are hard to capture with a camera (at least by me). The coin has light purple and red/blue highlights on the entire obverse and reverse. Most likely envelope toned. Difficult colors to find on a Peace $, especially on a 1921.

<< <i>Hey stman, That's a pretty cool (and very hard to locate) toned 1921 Peace dollar. >>

Thanks, It has much better color in person. The rev has a baby blue color around the periph. And the obv has a blue hue in the center as well. It's in a pcgs holder ms65. I keep debating whether to keep it or not. I have not seen it's equal since I've owned it.
