According to some who've seen his stuff in person, his coins are accurately described... the only thing that's no good is his photography skill...

i just heard from the seller, Ernie and he said it probably had been cleaned in the past and has retoned. I appreciate his honesty.

I'm not a huge expert on these things, but I've looked at a lot over the years, and never seem one colored quite like that. Some of the proof coins tone dark, but that one does look like its had some help somewhere along the line.

Not sure if I would say AU50 on it, personally. Maybe. Certainly it looks EF45 to me, at least. Not a bad-looking coin, and not as heinously overgraded as he often does. Cleaned and retoned, but it looks to have retoned nicely, and that doesn't bother me too much.
