  I think the logo is a stylized CU (Collectors Universe, with centering dots) and they added the tack to signify the message boards.

  turn your head to the right and look on the left to see the"C"
  
  turn your head to the left and look to the right to see the "U"
  
  
  it helps if you drink lots of Java and can think Californian
