Russ (Compucheap), how would YOU handle this one?

"Hello, I am writing reference the Mercury Dime lot I won on eBay (#3050893235). As of this date, I have not sent in the payment due to a personal issue that has risen. It will take me about two-three weeks or so to get the funds together again to purchase this merchandise. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes, I have never not paid for an auction. I would totally understand if you want to just re-list the item and I will pay the fees from my auction I won so you are not out anything. Otherwise, I will mail payment as soon as possible. Thanks.

I think you better check that Paypal account before you send those coins.

Why would you ship the coin before receiving payment anyway? Just give him a few weeks, and then if you dn't hear from him relist.

Actually, he bought them two days ago and immediately paid cash PayPal, which is already in my bank account and withdrawn.

Edit: Make that three days ago.

I see. The guy bought the dimes from NoGvmnt a week ago but said he couldn't pay right away, yet bid on and won more auctions from Russ after that.

NoGvmnt, why not ask for a $50 deposit (since he's able to pay for other auctions) which would take care of your inconvenience if he doesn't pay the balance?

Sounds like the "personal issue" was that he spent the money elsewhere.

I think I'll just go with the second chance offer to the underbidder and just have mike refund the fees.

The guy could have let me know earlier, like BEFORE he confirmed that payment was sent and I already have the package sealed, addressed and ready for the Post Office.
