I think the pastel tone is just right for the merc. I think sometimes that monster toning can overpower the beauty of the design.

Someone said to me they didn't like blue. However I do like blue and it looks like you have blue. From what I can see I like that coin!

If a coin must be toned, this one is a good tone.
It doesn't distract from the overall beauty of the coin.

Very nice, especially the more lively colors between10:00 and 12:00 on the obverse. But I like the plainer brownish areas, too.
