Jiri Welsch
Chris Mills
2004 first round pick

Mavs get:
ANTOINE WALKER
and Tony Delk

big for Mavs but only thing is how will their starting lineup look??
Nowitzki
Walker
Jamison
Finley
Nash

??? 5 possible all stars on one team, even if Walker comes off the bench they will be a force to recon with this year

Coach Nelson said Nowitzki will be playing Center alot more this season, all west teams have stacked up their teams to only make them better, will be exciting this year!

Why is it that all the Eastern Conference teams seem to be trading all their talent to the West? Pretty soon the Eastern Conference will be like a minor-league system for the Western Conference teams, some of which actually appear to give two hoots about actually winning the NBA championship

Dont see how this trade envolves giving talent to the west... I dont really call Walker a big talent, all in all I think this trade could help both teams, maybe more so the Celtics, they should have tried not to give up Delk, he can score the rock.

i am a huge celts fan and at first i was pretty disgusted by the trade. toine was my favorite player, but i will be the first to admit that his game has suffered under jim o'brien. when he first came into the league he played the baseline like a legitamate foward, putting up 20 and 10 every year. however under obrien's system toine went to crap. granted he still put up 20 a game, but when you are putting up close to 30 shots that is not very good. the way i see it lafrentz will be a nice compliment to tony battie down low and i can see mills being a decent contributor off the bench. personally, i feel two things are being overlooked in this trade...#1 welsch-he is a young european who didn't get much of a chance in gs last year. in the right system he may flourish. and #2-while the mavs pick will most likely be a late 1st rounder, 2 picks may give the celts some leverage on draft day. sorry for the long read and bad grammar but i am high on my migraine meds right now, lol!!!
