my weekend auction update

Well, everything (almost) you all told me was true. There were a few things there that I was interested in but not at the prices they were going for. The auctioneer was honest though! Told everybody upfront which ones were part of the estate and which ones were added by others! It was a learning experience and I went home with ALL the money I went with.
THanks for the great replies and advice.

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

Not true. It takes work to find them, but bargains can still be found.

Oh yes there is, in both slabs and raw.....
I'll strongly disagree with this statement.....
I know I've had many bargains within the past 3 months....

you need to go back and edit that staement before the forum eats you alive!!!!!!!!!
there are bargains a plenty, and some can be found at country auctions if you do your homework and go prepared. about two years ago we went to one and the local guy was the only attendee who knew some of what was offered was gold!!!! he had picked through some of the lots and won it for less than melt and had it sold before we left. i could give other examples of similar examples from eBay, shows, shops, etc.----but you should get my point. if you know what your looking for/at you can sometimes come out WAAAAAAY ahead of the pack.
