Another greattoning Ebay catch. This is the fourth coin I've bought from greattoning (Richard Abrahams)--and if the other three were anything to go off, this one will be a killer, too. Besides, how many nicely toned seated 1/2's do you get to see? I see very, very few that are in my wallet's reach.

Love those affordable circulated toned type pieces. I don't know how he does it, but Dick consistently offers the best toned stuff on Ebay....and killer variety, too. From neon toned moderns to toned darksiders and classics.

Enjoy!

Oh yeah, I picked up this one, too--thought it would look nice next to my rainbow toned Jeff and Roosie. Not much for moderns, but like 'em if they look like this one. Don't see too much rainbow pocket change, you know?

I'm surprised "tonedcoins" didin't win that one! image

  • I like the nice pictures from other EBAY sellers as well. For instance JB Stevens has nice material and offers a board member discount. TBT(Texas Bullion Traders) is another who sells nice toned coins on EBAY. Dont let me leave out Russ(compucheap) and Doug (uofa1285) who buy and sell nice toned coins on EBAY. If we are going to advertise by ebay handle and personal name on these threads lets dont leave anyone out. Others might want to add to this list of sellers on EBAY who sell very nice material.
BTW, I think the tone coin market is deflating somewhat, based on the price you paid for those two coins SS.
In an insane society, a sane person will appear to be insane.
  • Looks AU!
You can fool man but you can't fool God! He knows why you do what you do!
  • As far as Dick having a wide variety, its called consignment!

    eagle7,

Good point. It's true, there are many great sellers on these boards that offer very choice toned stuff. Guess I was just caught up in the post auction high one gets after an auction score..... As for me, I hope to do business with ALL toned sellers on these boards at some point (and have with at least one so far, morganluver). TBT (Bryan) has some killer pieces for sale, as do jbsteven and compucheap (you should check out his 78-S morgan currently offered if you haven't already). image

I agree that the toned market has softened a bit. But I think that truly beautifully, naturally toned coins will always have a niche and command a premium--even if that premium can soften at times. I see it as a good opportunity to "get in" on certain toned coins. The current softening works for my wallet!

    Cheers
