any ideas what to expect. what should i be looking to buy with my 150$ . what should i stay away from ?

i suck at grading all i knwo is a ag 3 coin is not a ms 70. hehe. anyone here going to the show? selling at the showl i hope so cause i can use some help. and friendly faces to buy from

I've been to that one. It's not that big. Maybe 20 - 25 tables. Lots of mid to lower grade slabs & lots of raw stuff.
I went once about 2 years ago & never went back. The Parsippany Show is far superior & is the first Sunday of every
month. Pal Building on Baldwin Rd. just off of Rt.46 East.

While I haven't been there, I can recommend the Parsippany show... largest regularly scheduled show in the US

About 50 or 60 tables & everything under the sun. Slabs ranging from moderns to rare gold. Quite a bit of raw coinage
and a big section dedicated to just books & supplies. Dealers selling U.S. Mint & Proof sets, U.S. currency and also some
foreign coins. There's something for everyone. And they have a little food concession if you're hungry. Blow off Clifton and
go to Parsippany on November 2.

well i got 500 for this showand ill have 500 for the par sop show in 2 weeks . hehe i love how that works out but i doubt ill use all 500 now.

Hey cosmos; wanna go to the next Parsippany show? I wanted to attend the last show but, coachin' the munchkin football team had taken precedence that particular weekend...Gimme a hollar!

I went to the Clifton Show (third Sunday of the month, Sep-June) as usual this morning. The Clifton show has about 25-30 dealers and usually features decent junk boxes, lower-grade raw US coins, some decent foreign coins and a couple of foreign currency dealers (one of whom also has US checks) and a couple of post card dealers. As far as slabbed US coins go, there are usually a lot of minor grading service slabs, a lot of ANACS slabs and some PCGS or NGC type coins and Morgan dollars, etc. In general, the Clifton Show has lower priced items than Parsippany. Interestingly, though, the Clifton Show does attract almost all of the wholesale dealers I usually see at Parsippany. Also, Carl Bombara used to bring his outstanding inventory of US currency to Clifton, but I haven't seen him in a while.

In contrast, the Parsippany show (first Sunday of the month) has about 80 dealers and is large enough to attract dealers who also do the White Plains and Baltimore shows. You can find much nicer US material at this show, but not too much foreign.

Different shows for different interests, in my opinion.
