And why would you buy it?

  • I would buy an 1885 CC morgan.

Gosh, just about anything, but I do it frequently.

Right now I'm looking for a choice Constellatio Copper. Gonna run at least $500.

I love those big old colonials.

    We ARE watching you.

  • I would apply the $500 toward a 1900 Lafayette commemorative dollar PCGS MS65.
    Because I need one.

That's a great choice! Right now I'd lean to a killer Morgan dollar or a nice $10 gold indian.

I would buy a coin worth $1000 and flip it. image

  • A 1904-S Morgan in PCGS XF45 or AU50 because this is the scarcest one I still need. This one has the lowest slabbed PCGS population of any Morgan, although the 1893-S is the rarest.

1954-P PCGS 66RD Lincoln Cent (and a trip to Red Lobster's to celebrate).

A well-struck late 19th century indian cent in PCGS MS-65 RED. A fantastic coin for $500.00

$5 No Motto Lib for my type set. Would be a challenge to find a really nice one for $500, but possible.

Original 1904-O Barber Half in XF. Problem is I can't find one after four years of looking. Money isn't the problem, finding a person with the coin to give my money to, is the big problem.

A type II (1866-1876) Liberty $20 in AU-58 or better. The undergraded ones.

I had bought a few of them (PCGS slabbed MS-60) when they were $425 just a couple of years ago.

  • Good Question, I would buy an unopened gsa ,or better yet a common date gaudens ms64 green holder and trust to fate

  • I would buy a very nice 1910, 11, 12 or 13 Ten Indian with very nice original color in a PCGS 62 holder! I would buy it because those coins with PQ eye appeal look as good as most 63 coins and I think they are still underpriced. Besides one with PQ color is a very beautiful coin! image

  • 1916 D Merc, because my wife would kill me if I spent that much now!

  • I'd shoot for a 1913 Liberty Head Nickel. If I couldn't grab one at that price, I would probably go for a red proof Indian Head Cent.

I would have to go for a nice MS quality St. Gaudins double eagle- It has such an amazing design, and I think there is something very alluring about large, lustrous gold pieces!

If I was buying this one coin for my own enjoyment and/or conversation piece, I'd buy an MS63 St. Gaudens.

If I was buying the coin as a store of value and possible appreciation, I would buy either a VG8 1877 Indian Head Cent or an XF45 1937-D Three Legged Buffalo

  • I would buy my first MS St. Gaudens, because I love the coin design and would normally have to save up my monthly budgets to get one - something that seems impossible for me to do now.
    SNIKT!
You are doing well, subject 15837. You are a good person.
  • I would use it to help pay for the PCGS ms66 1935-D Walker I just bought.image

  • It`s a bit of a toughy to decide on one for me. Been tring to think of just one. I think I would go for an original AU Seated Quarter. Next to the Turban Head $5/$10 Gold piece, The Seated coinage is my favorite design. I picked the Seated Quarter because I find the compact size appealing.

1930-S MS65 Buffalo. If not, my second choice would be an 1857 MS64/65 Large Cent.
