Auction on 2 sites, same time???

Regarding this auction:

auctionlink

this seller has the same coin up for auction, or the same coin appears there (by PGCS serial), on Yahoo Auctions.

What would be the scheme the seller is working? Comments?

  • Sounds like what was going on this weekend, with somebody on Yahoo stealing peoples auctions (the descriptions/pics) and re-listing them on Yahoo.

    ttt and,

Bill could you elaborate a little on this scam. There appears to be a lot of this going on, on Yahoo, now. New sellers, great coins, some going at 10-20% of wholsale. All appear to be a scam of some sort. What was your clue in on the theft of Ebay, up on Yahoo?
  • Here's a link to the thread that I read this weekend about it:

    EDITED to add:

For those who may read this, here's the link to the Yahoo auction (the eBay auction is on the first post):

Thanks Bill. Definite scams. I like Yahoo, this kind o' krap will kill that. WAS a nice alternative to Ebay. But then again, no bidding on new, urated sellers, unless you verify. Same advice can be had for all these electronic auction dumps.
  • I just sent a message to Yahoo about it, and suggested that have a prominent link on each page to report suspected ripp-offs of eBay (or other) auctions.
