Went up to $394 and took a dump back down to $385!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

dam they went into their stupid "maintainance" mode. Since you can't view the story while they're doing maintainance on their site, here's the text (which I'll remove later):

  • Too bad my gold stocks got clobbered image
  • Hang on to them fishcooker, they will be back. This is the end of the quarter and there is a little profit taking going on! As for gold itself, that is what this little pull back is about as well. I absolutely love Twenty Saints and Twenty Libs in PCGS 63 and 64. Lots more upside to go for them and they have already jumped big. The Twenty LIbs in 64 are up double in price in just a year. Wow!

  • I don't pay attention to the prices on the metals as I do with the exchange rate and stock markets. Euro price is 340. and that is what I bought gold for 2 years ago and less when the dollar was stronger than the Euro.

  • Doesnt make any difference whether it holds 400 or not. Facts are facts. One year ago one could buy a 1903 Twenty lib in a PCGS 64 holder at auction for 650 to 675. Now they are blowing out the door at 1200 a pop and the 1904 is right at that level as well. Twenty Saints in 64 are now selling for 675 (common dates) and could be had for 500 last year. I learned a long time ago never to fight a rising market. I have a lot of these coins now, been buying them for years. I will be happy to sell them when all you naysayers out there start hopping in and trying to buy them. They will be much higher in price then than now though. That is always the way it works. No one wants them until they suddenly get hit in the head by how high priced they are. Then they want to buy them!

I've got a half a dozen $20 Libs and Saints ready to take profits on.

One this week, one more if/when gold hits $440, etc.

Learned from the stock market not to "let it ride" too long...

...and, immediately sheds $10. I agree with Wallstreetman that such moves generally mark the end of an intermediate move. I expect a shakeout/retrenchment before any serious assault on $400.

I will be very happy to be proven wrong!
