Cant complain about the cost of my submissions!

With the two BM deals(I and my wifes renewals before the deal was changed) 13 modern freebies(free shipping inc) because of a mixup of one coin on a prior submission, 1 crossover freebie(free shipping inc) because last one was late, I paid $317 including shipping for 38 coins submitted at Long Beach!

$307 + $50(BM) - $40(sold 1 catalog on Ebay)= $317 for 1 Crossover, 8 Regulars, 16 Economy World, 13 Moderns, 1 Baltimore Catalog and 2 MS68 Silver Eagles, thats only $8.34 inc/ship per coin. Now if I sell the other Catalog and Eagles, you figure it out!

Now thats what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE!

You paid $50 for a BM? What did you get a fancy intestinal lavage?

What is the BM deal you are talking about, I may be interested?
  • The Bowers Merena deal is over, offered membership at $25 instead of $99!

    Thanks, dorkkarl

All of my grading is free - I do it myself. I still don't see where someone can pay out the nose for slabbing and think they are getting a favor.

  • How do you get the free submissions when PCGS doesn't meet grading guarantee? I would hope they would be honest and forthright enough to just provide it when they sent the coins back. Or, do you have to grovel, plead and argue with someone before they'll give it to you. My last submission was late by several days. To add insult to injury, they DNC'd my coins and didn't provide any explanation. Now that's customer service.
  • jacktheknife,

You must be dealing with the same customer service rep. as I am. image

It was 4 free submissions & free 1 year membership in PCGS Collectors Club + A PCGS Silver Am. Eagle WITH the purchase of Bowers & Merina Baltimore ANA Auction Catalog for $25 It was a great deal as my wife and I ( YEAH, Can you imagine our wives paying $25 for pictures of little round metal objects? ) got 8 free submissions together. I also sold my duplicate catalog and Eagles on Ebay but only got about $40 for the 3 items. Net cost $10! Then I wasted the freebies on grading State Quarters! I guess I will recover the $10 when I sell the State Quarters. ALL IN ALL IT WAS A FUN EXERCISE!
    Regards, MapMaker & (Wife?)

P.S. The Collectors Club included access to PCGS population reports onthe intrnet which I have enjoyed having available!
