Well I don't know if this helps, but L&C Coins is selling a 1899-O VAM 4 micro O graded AU for $110 raw. That's about $90 over trends. The V4 has the same interest and rarity rating as the V5. $22.50 for VF seems like a bargain to me. You may want to PM Gilbert. He is one of the resident VAM experts here.
'99-O, Vam5 last traded for $70 in VF35, $80 in XF45 according to the Summer 2003 Top 10 Value-guide. Let me include Mike Fey's caveat to the value-guide:
"... I urge caution to all of you to consider that the rarer varieties will command far more money than the most common ones. And coins in more desireable certified holders may command far more money than coins in the more minor grading service holders. This difference can be substantial and would greatly complicate the prices given in your Top 100 Value Guide. So use your common sense when making bids or buying coins. ... Remember, the Top 100 Value Guide is only just a guide."
