I would add, if you aren't that interested, don't open it even if you are on broadband. Only if you have a great degree of confidence in your bandwidth should you dare attempt the download and viewing of some 250+ images. You also might want to kill your temporary internet file directory after this!

I've seen a few of these auctions in the past, most of them don't meet the reserve. It's hard to sell such a varying degree of inventory, even to another dealer, since most of them already have a decent stock in a lot of the areas. I guess it is good for someone who would like to open up a shop themselves and needs to fill their inventory right away, but that situation is not terribly common.

It's a no reserve auction. That would be the kind of inventory that could keep you doing shows for years!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

That was painful. Quantity yes, but quality is missing. Nothing there that I see to get excited about. Most of the coins are raw and look as if they have undergone a harsh cleaning.
    I brake for ear bars.
  • Hmmm, if I had that kind of inventory I too would liquidate it all...to start all over again!

Every collector should look at this to understand what NOT to buy!

For the life of me I don't know why sellers with large quantities of coins, like this auction, post so many pictures. That auction was freezing my computer up so I couldn't bid even if I wanted to. I also can't believe any buyer would pay that kind of money without looking over the items before hand in person. If I was going to bid, I'd would be making arrangements to go there, look it over, pay for it there, and pick it up. No way I'm sending over $36,000 and waiting to see IF they send it.
