    Without even opening this thread, I was hoping that you wouldn't dispute Gamble's claim to this title. I believe it is the '76 Topps Traded, but I am not sure.

    I'm in favor of the Gamble as best on the registry (certainly the best on any card that I own), but I recall some serious hair on some of the footbal players during the same period.

    How about Best Non-Uniform Clothes?

    There's a Pirates card in the 1976 Topps set that has a guy wearing a black and yellow jacket with a broad black band with yellow diamonds down the sleeves. I remember thinking that was a bad outfit back when I was a kid.

    I don't know if it is the largest afro but the scariest looking guy in an afro has got to be the 1976 Topps Bskbl James T. Silas(sorry, do not know how to scan)

    I have one of those cheap card display things my mom gave me that displays about 20 cards that you hang on a wall that I had devoted to my "All Hair Team".
    I used to bring it to shows where I set up and got tons of laughs.
    But I didn't have the 76 Gamble.
    That is absolutely hilarious! He must required a huge hat to accomodate that mind bending fro'!

    (No one touches Ben today though)

    pc is right. Darnell could hide basketballs, cheerleaders, and enough towels for both teams inside his hair. Legend has it that a group of clowns stowed away on an airplane by hiding inside his hair. They were only discovered after their VW Beetle fell out when he leaned sideways to look out the window.
