  i'm not defending NTC, but judging a DMPL by a scan is next to impossible. they rarely look good and when they do, the coin is generally raw and suspect. i'll buy holdered coins on eBay based on a scan but with a DMPL, it would have to be from a seller i knew.

  DMPL's are business strikes btw, but yes that coin is ridiculous, but hey so is NTC

  I saw that one, but passed because it doesn't look 64 to me. More like 62...

  HERE is a dmpl coin that I imaged off a regular flatbed scanner. I know I know, the coin's a piece of crap. But the point is, you should be able to get some cameo effect even from a cheap scan.

  Maddogale, the coin really is a dog. Lots of hairlines, etc. There are better ones available!

  Here's an example of a good mirror (I bought this coin off of E-prey)...... The pic is from the seller, but it does look (reflect) just like the pic.
