I need some help from any dealer attending the M.O.O.N. coin show next month in Brooklyn Center, Min

I said I would update my thread about having breakfast with fellow board members before The Saturday Bourse opens up, I tried finding the information on the web, but the only thing I found was several listings that said just "Moon show 41st annual to be held At Earl Brown Heritage Center Fall 2003" Fall 2003 isn't to helpful!!!

If anyone has the official dates of this Friday thru Sunday show please either post it to this thread or my other thread a few days ago with dates, times and if you have it, the number of tables and the street address [obviously on Earl Brown drive somewhere].

Thanks Les

  • Hi Les,

We are not going to the show, but here's some information from our coin show information folder:

    October 31 through November 2, 2003

Admission is free and there will be 77 tables in the bourse

Address: 6155 Early Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center, MN

Here's a map to the coin show

If you need more information, contact Jay Darby at 507-250-8757

I'll be down from Duluth again.

I also have been wondering about the dates, as I haven't seen anything "official" yet. But it usually has been the 3rd full weekend in Oct. So I better make note that it is the 4th weekend this year, according to Jadecoin. Thanks for the info Jadecoin.
  • This is the latest I've ever seen for this show, if anyone subscribes to coin world, I'd appreciate a list of times for the individual 3 days as well as a confirmation of October 31-November 2nd. The section in the back of the coin world with show dates listed by state should have this before the end of the month if they don't already have it, but I don't subscribe anymore myself.

  • Hey guys,

I just checked a second source and it also listed October 31 - November 2 as the show dates. No times were listed. I also called Jay's phone number, but it is not in service. If you interested, try emailing the Moon Coin Club at mooncoinclub@aol.com.

  • Show and auction guide shows it for those dates as well but no times.
  • Kinnda dumb to list the largest show in the state with dates, but no times. Maybe in a few weeks the times will be listed somewhere.

Don't hold me to this, but if I remember right, the times don't change on this show from year to year.
    If I remember right, last year was;

    Friday- 3pm-8pm

    Saturday- 10am-6pm

    Sunday-10am-4pm

I might be wrong, but thats what I remember.

If someone finds out for sure please post it when you do and let me know for sure if your coming to breakfast on Saturday morning before the show, tentative time would be 8:30 am if the Saturday bourse opens at 10 am. I don't have the street address of the perkins, but it's 2 blocks before The Earl Brown buildings on the same street and right across the street from the best buy store.

  • We set up there last year, but will not be this year. I believe the doors opened to the public at noon on Friday. I may also be wrong though..
