Did I do good? (Colonial Coin Question)

I picked up a Wood's Hibernia 1723 Halfpenny and a 1773 Virigina Halfpenny for $20.00 a piece from a bidboard, each probably grades good to very good. I never seen either one and I thought they be cool to have.

Anyone know anything about these particular coins? What's the history behind them?

Thanks for the info --- I guess I couldn't go wrong for $40. I did get a great piece of American and numismatic history! I can always let my kids take them to school for show and tell someday!

Yes, you did very well. I like collecting colonials in any condition. I've got about a dozen Woods Hibernia pieces all grading good to very good.
