Proof Frankie Help Needed!

I own a 1952 Franklin Gold Label PCI PF64.....

Now bought it off of e-bay for about 30 bucks plus shipping a few months back. I bid more than that on it and nobody else touched it. That is where the story begins......

I do not buy anything outside of PCGS and NCG on a normal basis. But this coin was just calling to me. I looked at it when it arrived and all I see is the obverse is a slightly weak strike. So it is no canidate for a cameo or anything. But there was only 81,980 made!

I have a general rule against breaking coins out of holders. But I want SO BAD to crack this thing out and send it to PCGS.

Could Gold Labels be undergraded just as wildly as they were overgraded? Also, what would you do when placed in such a position?

for PCI to grade this a pr64, this coin must be hairlined and even some big milkspots......

I have no problem finding proof coins and cracking them and sending them, but, I try to find coins that are worth the hassle....

If you feel this one is the go fo it....... I recently sold a 54 pr68 top pop that had a touch of Cam and was hairline free......

Send it still in the holder, with a minimum grade of PR6X. 6X is the lowest grade PCGS holder you'd rather have it in than the present PR64 holder.
Give Blood (Red Bags) & Platelets (Yellow Bags)!

You see that is the thing that gets me.... there is not any milkspots. All I can find is that weak strike on the obverse.

I too have seen the Proof coins graded strickly by looking at hairlines.I personally think it is an injustice. The strike should be taken into account.
