  • Hi Peaceman, sorry I took so long to reply to your inquiry. I simply missed this thread earlier in the day.

BTW, the show is the CSNS Fall Show and is hosted by ILNA. I guess you could say that it's a dual CSNS and ILNA convention. This is one of the best shows of the year in the Mid West, imho.
  • Thanks for the info. How many tables are usually there? Is it a "normal" coin show or is it just gold/currency, etc.?

I'll be there most of the day on Thursday and also Friday morning looking for cool dollars.

  • Are the dealers allowed to sell to you if you buy the "early-bird pass" or do you just get to look and wait until the place opens....

Buying an earlybird pass allows you to buy/sell on that day, that's why you spend the extra money, to basically have 1st shot before the show officially opens to the public. It's been my experience in the past however that the earlybird extra expense is not worth it, JMO.

  • Sorry if this is slowing down your computer, but I thought that I would post this image with show information. If you can't read the text, you can save it to your drive and then enlarge using a viewing software. Also, feel free to email us at dennis@earlyus.com and I will email you a higher quality file. The September CSNS (ILNA) show is a wonderful collector show and one of our favorite annual events. It's not too big and not too small. Also, the show is mainly comprised of regional dealers, so you won't find too many million dollar coins at the show, but rather collector coins. It's a good time. Hope to see you there.

  • Went to the coin show today. As the 2nd coin show I've ever been to, I have to say that it looked like a pretty good turnout, at least at the opening. There were about 115 tables as well. I seen one guy buying every GSA Morgan he could. I think he had over 200 in his case he was carrying around. I talked to several dealers including Gus from G.R. Tiso Numismatics. Some of the dealers indicated a shortage of inventory as well. I ended up buying 3 Peace dollars, all of the same year in PCGS and NGC holders (PQ coins). If there were more, I would have bought them too. Some dealers wanted "moon" money for some of there PQ coins... like $ 1,200 for a MS64 27-s. I also introduced myself to Madmarty briefly as coincidence would have it that someone called his name while he was standing right next to me....
  • Peaceman,

Thanks for the report. I plan on attending the show on Saturday. I plan on doing some buying and selling at the show. Mainly looking for the remaining nine circulated Barber halfs I need to complete my collection.
