Yeah, Michael is cool. Who said he wasn't?
  • We've been "wrestling" a bit. I'm just acknowledging that for lawyer-slime, he's ok. image

Don't go getting your shorts in a bunch... that's just my way. I call Adrian "Lawyer-slime" too. image

    For "lawyer scum", they're ok.image

    Brian.
  • It's Kinda "icky" - but I'll give him one thing... he stands up - and states his case.

He's not afraid to go toe-to-toe, and I respect that.

Michael - if you're reading this... disregard. Lawyers are putzes. imageimage (j/k) well... a little anyway.
  • He's occasionally easy to disagree with but the board is better with him here. Let's cut him some slack. Here's a wave Michael. image
  • I'd agree that it's a better place with him.... but - I don't want to be too "warm and fuzzy" too quick. He'll pull some "lawyer stuff" on me if I do. image

C'mon Michael - loosen up. We're ok here.
It's nice to be able to have an adult discussion, and go forward. I'd say Michael is a definite asset here. image

The main question is whether Frattlaw was in a frat in school and whether ANACONDA actually has a pet snake. These are important questions, particularly at 1:34 AM EST.
Michael here is also a wave:imageimageimageimage
  • I think deep-down... Adrian is TERRIFIED of snakes. I believe he uses the moniker to bolster his flagging confidence surrounding what must be an lifelong paranoia.

Get over it Snake-man.... I'm yanking your chain. image

    They're all scum.........

    until you need one.

I've spoke to Michael on several occasions and he's always been upfront and straight with me. I'd use him in a heartbeat.

I wish I could afford one of his coins.
    (ANACONDA)
  • Oh he's definitely got the Anaconda alright. That's what he unleashes when he gets an NPB on eBay. image
  • Hey Mr. Lee... you've changed in appearance somewhat since I last saw you. You're.... softer and bumpier than before.... imageimageimageimageimageimageimage

    Sorry - couldn't resist.
  • winged,

I want that 1892 PR68 DCAM Barber he has up, that is one purdy coin but I don't have $24,000 to spare!

    I'm older too.

That's my new '85 image (as opposed to the '04 I used before)
  • You know what really P'O's me about Anaconda? I used to only like blast-white proofs before I met that lawyer-slime. (kidding Adrian... down-boy)

Now I actually DEAL toners. (*I'm SO ashamed)

  • << <i>I'm older too. >>

But... you've aged SO GRACEFULLY! image

$24,000 would pay off my car and also have enough money left over for a 63FB 16D dime.
, but a DCAM barber is still a DCAM barber. Decisions , Decisions, I think I'll have another V8 chilled with a touch of Stoli.

    I'm touchedimage

I try to be upfront and honest, not only here, but in my professional life as well.

I try to give back a little (with the help of all the other members who donated) -- hence the 4th of July YN giveaway.

And if any of you ever needed some legal help, I would certainly try to assist.

I appreciate your comments and just goes to show what a really great group of people visit this little corner of the internet! Makes me glad to say I'm a Board member.

    I have two 16D dimes.
One is an ANACS-AG3, the other is NGC-64FB

  • c'mon Michael... don't get drippy on us. image

    heheheh....

you wouldn't expect anything LESS of me would you? image
    I'll bloody-well keep you guessing.

Thanks for all. I'm outa here for tonight. Cheers - even to the "law-scum" image Yes... you too Adrian. imageimage
  • AG3 and 64FB, that's quite a difference..that 64FB must be amazing.

    Here is a legal observation:

    - The babes on Law and Order have gotten hotter with each season, especially the blond ADA-

    Brian.
  • My mother was a court reporter for the superior courts in Los Angeles, all I saw were transcripts, appeals, court orders, etc. spread out on the floor every night. Could never have a job in the legal arena, yikes!
  • wingedlibertywingedliberty Posts: 4,805 ✭✭✭
Yes, they are both amazing. I do love the 64FB, that was a $7900 coin when I bought it.

    Brian
  • Wish I could afford one in 64FB, I'm still trying to get a 56 FE Cent though, I suppose that's where my money will go first, when I actually have the discipline to save some of it! image

That's funny, I noticed that as well. I just wish I could fine female attorneys who really do look like that to go up against. image

It's usually the court reporters (cherry's mom) that are the hottest women in a depo or a court room. image

I still like the original cast the best, sans hottys.

Yes, I agree on your observation about court reporters.image

That 16D took me almost a year to save up for. It was worth it.

  • I'm still trying to hunt down a 1903 Jefferson/Louisiana Purchase gold commem. Trying to finish my early commem' set...

" I think deep-down... Adrian is TERRIFIED of snakes. I believe he uses the moniker to bolster his flagging confidence surrounding what must be an lifelong paranoia."

One of the first memories i have of life is trying to catch a garter snake that was in a barbeque pit, with a mouse trap. I must have been four years old or less because we moved from that house (in Morristown, New Jersey) when i was four. (Another early memory i have was of my grandmother's teeth in a glass of water. ("How the...what the....AHHHH!!!" Grandma's falling apart!!!!)

I have had one incredibly scary dream of a snake that was chasing me in a house. Other than that, i've never had any kind of ophidiophobia. I did lose a 12 foot reticulated python in my house in Colts Neck, New Jersey when i was 17 years old. My parents were not happy. I finally found several months later it after it had died.

I have been bitten twice by poisonous snakes. The first time was by a fully capable diamond back rattlesnake....a juvenile. It didn't envenomate me for some reason.

The second time i was handling a supposedly devenomized Southern Pacific Rattlesnake. It nailed me on the hand. There were a few tense moments ("Are you sure this snake is safe...No, i mean really sure????").

I agree. Although there are a few female attorney's that are fine. (One of them is my wife who i happen to think is outstandingly beautiful, not to mention a first rate person in all other respects, where it really counts.)

Incidentally, Anaconda2's mom (my first wife) is a court reporter.

I'm skin to the bone. Grew up in New Jersey. Always liked snakes. Grew up to be a lawyer, a personal injury lawyer at that.

    Now i'm a coin dealer.

When it comes to pokin' fun at me....well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

I grew up in NJ as well and also have an early memory of trying to catch a garter snake.

I was about 10 and playing with a bunch of friends in an area we use to call the "trails." It was a wooded area by the railroad tracks. I saw about 10 garter snakes sunning themselves and decided I really needed one as a pet. I was able to grab one a nice 2 footer and bring it home. My mom, being the most supportive mom in the world, decided it was alright and I was on my way to have several self-captured snakes. I couldn't afford the pricey boas and anacondas, so I had to settle for a king snake that I caught when he was about 3 feet long. I kept him until he reached about 5, and then he too escaped.

I guess you just can't keep a big snake or lawyer for that matter, down! We always find a way to wriggle free!

Grew up to be a defense lawyer, keeping money away from snakes like Anaconda!

Will never be a coin dealer! I just love'em too much to sell'em. If I had Adrian's coins, I would never part with them!

    Michael

  • That's too wild! Two guys, both from New Jersey, both lawyers, coin guys and with a love of the legless kind. Well, we obviously need to meet some day!
