Due to work, I will not be able to come for the whole party. I was hoping to get out of work early but this is not going to happen. I will be stopping by as soon as I get into Baltimore for a beer or two with everyone.

The Birthday Bash was a smashing success. Both literally and figuratively. I sat next to GSAGUY & Fantasiize, both experience crab eaters so I got good early lessons and left a huge pile of puverized crab shells at my spot. It was my first crab feast, but I hope not my last. It was great to see so many forum members in one spot all having a good time. My thanks to Mitch for organizing this event. I think it turned out better than anyone thought it would. I really enjoyed myself talking to and learning about other members of the forum. It is nice to put a face with name. Most everyone who was on the list showed up. For me, this will be one of the highlights of the show and an event I will always remember. I had a blast. I hope everyone who attended had a good time as well. mdwoods
Happy birthday guys. Wish I could have been there. I would like to meet some of you. But then, tomorrow I will be sitting on the bay, not far from you, eating freshly caught crab. Then I'm on my way to Williamsburg, Va. for the Colonial Seminar put on by the ANA starting Sunday evening.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, especially to Mitch, for putting the 'BASH' together. It is great to put faces to names ! Got the ultimate pleasure of sitting next to Billy Walser, who I have had so much admiration for his having so many quality sets going, all at the same time, in the recent past. I could never understand how he was building so many sets at once, and how he was so organized with charts of completion and all. MD woods, GSA guy. David Shweitz,(SP), Anaconda, Shylock, Redcents, Tootawl, Keets, Dblll55, Mitch, Wash Quarters, Mark Ferguson, Dpoole, SRD5, (SP), Stuart Blay and on and on. I hardly bothered looking for coins this trip, and got more pleasure and satisfaction meeting members of the Forum. How many crabs and beers I consumed ?? Lost count, but it was up there. This was only my second coin show, the first being last years ANA in NY, and I LOVE IT. I submitted two very, very high end NGC crossovers today, (Proof Gold ) and even if they do not cross, I will still have happy, and memorable memories from this show.
I want to add my 2 cents also. Thanks to Mitch for organizing a great evening. Like Zerbe said, It's been more fun getting to know some of the members than looking for coins. A minor disappointment for me was that due to the nature of the dinner (eating required you to be elbow-deep in dead crab debris) it was too messy for anyone to show coins around.
Eating crabs is mighty hard work, and for those of us without prior experience it took a long time to get a bite of actual food (like jbsteven pointed out).
I think the highlight was when the waitress wouldn't bring mdwoods any more crabs. He said he was told it was all-you-can-eat, and the waitress replied, "That's right. And the manager has decided that's all you can eat."
It was over before I had the chance to chat with everyone there but hopefully there will be another event next year at the ANA in Pittsburgh.

JB...you need to learn how to pulverize those crabs boy. MDWOODS held his own with me, and that's no easy feat.
