Anyone Use Where's George?

I received a bill with www.wheresgeorge.com on it a week or two back. A quick check of the sight showed the bill was initially entered a few days prior, in the same town I'm in. I registered all my bills the past few weeks, so I have 54 bills valued at $956 registered (a few $100s in there). I have two hits... the bill I mentioned above, and one of the bills I registered was already registered but not marked with www.wheresgeorge.com.

Do any of you mess with this?

Link Note the site is a killer for pop-up ads.

I block out the address with permanent markers before I deposit them

not sure why... but it bothered me like unsolicited phone calls the first time I saw it

If I get a bill with a Where's George stamp on it, I'll enter it on the site, but I don't stamp any myself.

Actually, it's a tool used to track counterfeit $100 bills produced in North Korea.

I'm too cheap to buy a stamp so I just write TRACK THIS BILL under the ser # & highlite it and write www.wheresgeorge.com on the widest border & highlite it. I haven't done it in a long time & haven't got any hits lately.

I can see it now. Next will be counter-stamped coins with a URL for playing with and tracking data.

Besides the thrill of tracking your bills, is there any other incentive to `play`?

I've entered a number of bills. I only got a few hits on them since I entered them about 4 years ago.

I'm glad $20 gold users didn't scratch their names in the cheecks of every coin they held. That would suck for gold collectors.
