    it is an unfortunate coincidence that "San Francisco" and "Silver" both begin with an "S"

  • No kidding Russ, don't people even look at the image and see it is not an "S". Look right on the label, there it is. Maybe they want an 1887-P slabbed for $92.

  • It is pretty clear from the current bid that everyone bidding on this auction is reading the words in the auction and not looking at the picture.

    I am sure the seller meant the "S" to designate silver like PCGS does S$1 - so is it the sellers fault?
  • It is only partially the sellers fault. However, since the seller started the bidding at a very low amount, the buyers are really at fault. I was scanning eBay for a PCGS 1887-S and I immediately saw the auction was incorrect.
