At long last I have the #1 all time finest set in proof Kennedys.

My very temporary moment in the sun - #1 Proof Kennedy Short set.

Won't be there long. As soon as the other full set owners notice there's now a short set, I'm history. Fun right now, though! image

I just realized this was a stupid post. With the 2003 registry award deadline coming up in four days, I should have kept quiet and posted the set at the last minute. image

    Catch22,

The name preceded my involvement in this great hobby. It was a domain I registered for a site idea I had. Never did anything with it, so I made it in to a coin site and named my sets after it.

    Cool image
That humanity at large will ever be able to dispense with artificial paradises seems unlikely. Most men and women lead lives at the worst so painful, and at the best so monotonous, poor, and limited, that the urge to escape, the longing to transcend themselves, if only for a few moments, is and always has been one of the principal appetites of the soul.

Russ, that is a short set!!!! Is there one shorter??
That set looks easy to put together with a little work and effort finding the right coins! I only have a few that would qualify and might try to slam you out of that spot!!

    Bigern,

Only if a bunch of the high powered full set owners take pity on me and don't register a short set before the deadline.

<< <i>That set looks easy to put together >>

    Jeff,

That's the cool thing about this set. It's one that anybody can complete without spending the mortgage money. There are quite a few Kennedy collectors who don't really care for the newer design, or don't want to spend the money to complete the full set.

Also, this is a unique type, since the half was the only coin that contained any silver for most of the years included in the set, and it's old enough that even a classic collector, who might not otherwise participate in any moderns, might give it a second look.

Lots of benefit to this little set. image
