Ebay scammer!!!!!!

Do you guys now about this guy?? He's selling buffed and cleaned coins that he bought a couple weeks ago. Check his feedback and the Items he bought and are selling.

I didn't even bother to look for the coin he's selling for $2000, but I'm sure it's there. I feel sorry for the guys bidding on it.

I'm sure none of you pro's out there would fall for this. Being new to collecting myself, I figured It might help other newbies thinking stuff like this is a good deal and getting stuck with junk.

Am I the only one who agrees with Ken?

Careful scrutiny (sorry Ken, had to turn your phrase from my Morgan post) of the image shows the coins apparently have different marks. One thing this auction does show is how more compelling selling copy can drive the price up.

I have to agree with the rest. I'm not seeing any kind of scam in this auction. If making a nice profit on an item is a scam, then a lot of people would be in trouble.

Are we missing something?

I couldn't care less about some Ebay seller buying a coin for $45 and selling it for $100. (IF it is the same coin?!) I'm glad capitalism is still alive on Ebay!

What I noticed was the marks in the field on the reverse under each wing. They look the same to me.

As far as making money on the deal, I could care less. It's just I have read alot of post saying cleaned coins are basically worthless. And the amount of cleaning done to these coins would be pretty extensive.

Would you by that coin and spend $100 on it? Make sure you check the reverse not the obverse.....

NARU'd means "Not a Registered User". Usually means a user has been suspended.
