These are the recent bargains that I picked up on Ebay.

1970-D NGC-66 $13 tough date in high grade.
1976-S Silver Bic. PCGS-67 $25 . Very tough in 67 or higher.

mint. High percentages of 1970 quarters were made with better strikes and from
newer dies than the earlier clad quarters. The 70-D was the better of the two
made for circulation. This coin exists with several interesting varieties and the
fairly important version which was struck on dime stock. 70-D quarter rolls are
the most "common" of all the pre-'96 eagle reverse clad quarters except for the '65
and possibly the '66. Nearly half a million coins perhaps in total. Most of these
would grade MS-63 with a few better specimens. Gems are fairly plentiful in the
mint set, especially MS-65. These should always be among the more affordable
gems which makes it very interesting. Large percentages of the '70 mint sets have
been destroyed to obtain the half dollar. Typically the other coins from the set were
put into circulation since all the regular issues from this year were considered com-
mon. The circulating 70-D's are heavily worn. These coins apparently are a little
softer than most dates and have not held up well. Coins above VG are getting sur-
prisingly hard to find.

Actually, in MS69 it would be worth a truckload more than $25. I assume you're referring to the MS67 quarter in the first post? It's worth that because it's been graded at that level by PCGS. Most of the quarters found in the sets will not grade that high.
Edit: Or, is that just a general question? If so, it would be PR69, rather than MS69. Generally, in PR69DCAM, the 1976-S silver quarter brings about $35. Same answer, though, the certification at that level is what adds the value. It might take purchasing several sets to find one at that grade.

few with better strikes.

Great date in almost any condition. Strike is usually the biggest problem, especially in
mint sets.

CK, I have two. This pic is of the first. It is at NGC awaiting grading. They also have my 50. I have resumed work on my Washington set. I wish my 51 proof were back. It is a non-cameo that is ¼ lavender with a perfect strike, bristling luster, and no mirrors. I find the look startling. I know most love the black and white cameo coins, but that one really looks like an MS-69 full satin 1951 with some color. I'll put up a pic when they all come home.
This last is a 79 t2 in Anacs 69 dcam. I love the luminescence. It was a $5 coin.

another cool one is the "52 superbird" in pr65, but I don't have it on site. good buy at $28 I thought.
