Line #1 on this submission was body bagged for environmental damage on submission #3038415. When I got it back, I couldn't see any damage anywhere on the coin - which makes sense, since it had come directly from a proof set. Re-submit, and magically, the coin is fine.

There were also two Accented Hairs on this submission that I had previously submitted expecting the cameo designation and didn't get it. Still thought they deserved it, so I cracked them out and resubmitted them. Unfortunately, PCGS jumbled up the results, so I won't know if it's the two that did go CAM until I get the coins back and compare them to the reference images I shot.

This was an economy submission; 57 calendar days, 41 business days. It looks like turnaround times are improving.

Question: if a coin is body bagged, but later is certified by the same service, do you get a refund on the cost of the first body bag? Seriously, I don't know. I am guessing that the answer is "no", but it should be "yes"

Yet, people want to claim these are "consistent" grading practices.

One very important point to remember is that this sort of thing works backwards as well. Be very careful when breaking coins out of PCGS holders to resend them to PCGS. You can get burned quickly if you dont inspect the coin carefully before you break it out.

Good job Russ, I wish I could find some accented hairs cheap, but they are hard to find. Pretty soon whenever Russ sells one on Ebay I forsee the word scarce in the title. It will be because he own's them all. arrrggghhhh

Nah, I'm a long way from owning all of them. I am up to 5.3% of the total PCGS graded population, though, with 19 more currently in for grading.

I have one potential DCAM in right now. The rest are brilliants, some with light contrast, but none that should make the cameo designation.

If you are not careful you will become the victim of your own success. You get enough AH cams and dcams in pcgs holders and the price of all of them will tumble. Sell them quick!
