How long has your submission been at PCGS?

This is my oldest. Economy service and still in the grading room. I was told today to not expect any movement on orders until next week, everyone is at a show again this weekend!image
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I've got about 10-15 coins (can't remember, it's been so long) there since 1/22.

My "error submission" ($30.00) order has been there since January 30, 2003. I hope it hasn't developed PVC in the flip it has been in.

January 28, 2003 -- the amazing thing is that is a modern submission and the economy I sent in at the same time was returned 2 weeks ago.

    Go figure --

The oldest of the submissions I have in right now arrived 01.23.03. I don't know where it's at in the process because I think calling and bugging them might slow things down even more.

Why bother having an internet check for processing when the only results are "We Got It or We Shipped It". Oh Well they will probably all come back "cleaned" anywayimage

The only submission I complained about that was taking too long resulted in a fingered and palmed morgan dollar. image I think I learned my lesson about bugging anyone back there.

Geez and I am getting antsy about my submission they received 2-7. I believe it was TomB who hand delivered a submission at the FUN show. Well, I will be hand delivering a submission at Charlotte, but it is going to be "across the street". These delays are totally unacceptable and I haven't had any trouble getting equal money for <$300 coins in NGC holders. Somebody at PCGS better wake up, I am not the only one who is fed up.

I've had 21 economy coins parked at PCGS since Jan. 31 ... My subliminal post in the Q&A Forum last night about the speed of grading -- or more accurately, the lack thereof -- elicited a response from homerun last night, but not many words of assurance. But, hey, whaddaya think ... another of my prior Q&A questions, and David's answer, is the featured "Readers Ask" question in the PCGS eCollector that arrived in thousands of e-mailboxes today. Do you think that will get me to the front of the line? image But, seriously, the wait -- and my coins -- is/are getting old.

I sent in a submission for my Husband that was received on 2-12. This was sent in using regular, not econonmy. I called today and the customer service person said that it might be done next week. I think in the past most of his submissions came back faster, but I never paid too much attention until now.

That's Great News!!! I just turned in a few to be graded, round tabled and reholdered at the Long Beach show. Does this mean I will have to wait a couple months to find out a grade. PSA, baseball cards grading service, at least lets you know by email the grade before they send it back to you. And they have a pretty good turn around!

Every cloud has a silver lining.

Instead of submitting moderns under the modern tier, send them economy. They will have become classics by the time you see `em again!image

My last submission was received on 2/10 (after being lost in the mail for 15 days).

The last one I received was a fingerprinted quarter.

(I may have sent in my last one.)

    My latest submission:

    Date Received: 02/10/2003
    Date Shipped: 03/07/2003

I received it yesterday (3/11/03). It was 14 modern coins, and I paid $12 per coin. I would post the results, but I'm to embarrassed by the grades I received. Don't get me wrong, PCGS was dead right with the grades. This was my first attempt at picking nice cents, dimes, or quarters and will probably be my last. I have had great success with my American Eagle Platinum & Gold coins and will stick with those. Actually, my latest submission was received today (3/12/03) and is mostly Platinum & Gold coins with a few modern dimes and cents. I submitted them because I had purchased them prior to receiving my low, low grades.

    Thanks,
    John

getting our weekly econo 100-150+ 1950-70 proof, cam and mint set material subs back in 30-35 days or less never fail from ship to receipt. Maybe they do put the bill payers up front. I used to wonder how heritage could get $5 grading on multiple 1000's+ coin submissions all done and back in just 2 weeks. ITS THE MONEY,politics, grade manipulations (flat out profit maker gifts) ,etc.etc.

11/26/02. Guaranteed regrade. PCGS downgraded it, pulled it from my Reg Set, updated the pop reports, but can't seem to come up with a reasonable offer or a replacement coin. The last three phone calls/messages have gone unanswered. So did the 'Ask Mr. Hall' question from two weeks ago.
