I am hereby volunteering to be the flame-war topic for this weekend.

When I make this very poor taste joke, please keep in mind that I have nothing but the highest respect for astronauts. I consider them to be some of the bravest people on the planet, and myself have dreamed of being an astronaut since I was a kid. The recent events have not phased that dream in the least.

With that said, I now proceed to my tasteless joke.

First of all, you will need to click this link, which is a website where you can vote on the design for the Florida state quarter.

The designs are typical and attractive. But shouldn't the shuttle one be in pieces?

Everyone on the board surely agrees that "Rap music sucks." If that topic wins there will be no one to argue its defense, hence I voted for "Modern PR70s are for Suckers." That is always a nasty fight.

I like the helicopter option but the choice itself is phrased wrong. Who wrote this
stuff anyway. (maybe we should hunt him down and toast 'em.)

Helicopters neither fly nor beat the air into submission. They actually beat the air
into a fenzy with the large blade on top and it pushes back up in anger. This can
be proved just by getting underneath one. You can feel most of the air coming down
and trying to escape. They are steered by the small blade in back using simple laws
of aerodynamics. Didn't anyone read Aristotle or Sikorsky in school?

Again I respectfully suggest we flame the author. There is absolutely no reason to
start the flame war at 5PM PST. Most of the members are on Eastern or Central time
and the only possible reason is pstcentricity. Obviously since Central time is actually
central we should start it at 5 PM CDST.

...So let's have at it.
