Great buyer

I thought I would tell about a great selling experience since we seem to always seem to find the bad ones.
jdk1988@earthlink.net won 2 auctions I had for some silver rounds. I got payment from him today and in it was the
money order and a 5 dollar bill. Seems I had typo'd the amount when I sent him the winner notification and after he
got the money order he noticed the math error and included the extra in the payment. I never would have noticed.
It isn't a total cesspool out there.

  • Thats a great story.

As a long time ebay buyer and a new seller I can say from both sides of the fence that there are great people out there. While we tend to obsess over the vultures out there, we shouldn't forget about all the nice, friendly, HONEST and decent people we have all around us.

  • There are lots of honest, interested, and delightful buyers and sellers (on these boards, and even on eBay). I've been blessed thus far with only a few bad apples. All my board member dealings have been stellar, and all the important stuff on eBay has been great.

    Just my dos centavos.
  • Altho I'm not the buyer you're talking about, I'm sure I'm speaking for all those faceless buyers out there when I say "Thank You" for this, very nice gesture.
I'm lucky to get a positive feedback from most sellers, no less a special commendation. Twowood

  • I think anyone who sends cash at all is a special buyer! To be trusting enough of someone you've never met before says a lot about your character. I've been lucky enough to have a couple of those in the past year. image
  • Honestly, this happens to me a lot (twice already in February). I think it has to do more with how you present yourself to the other party than anything else. If you have the prejudice that every person is trying to rip you off, it's amazing how often they will. There is still good in most people. You just don't hear about it, especially here image

    Thanks for sharing this.

  • Speaking of nice gestures...I recently received an email from a seller telling me that, hereafter he will send out my coins immediatly after receiving my personal check...no 10 day wait. That's good marketing.Twowood
