Ummm....snow?

At 11:30 this morning it was dry outside, no snow falling, none on the ground. We now have 11 inches (five hours later) and it's still snowing. The forecast was originally for 2-4 inches, now they've amended that a bit; 14-16 inches. I guess they made a bit of an "oops" in the forecast yesterday. Odd thing, the "local forecast" on the weather channel still says 2-4 inches with a red trailer at the bottom of the screen saying not to venture outdoors because of whiteout conditions with 3-4 inches per hour falling.

It's a wonderful day, I LOVE SNOW!!!

We had ours yesterday. Today is cold, bright, and sunny. The snow was the dense type, no fluffy stuff.

Chuck we got 8 inches yesterday. The storm thats hitting you is supposed to hit us very early in the morning into tomorrow night. They are saying 4 to 6 inches from it. So who knows what we actually will get.

We had 30" last monday. Its now been raining for the better part of two days. I can't remember the last time we had rain, October/November?

It has been raining all weekend here on Long Island... glad it wasn't snow we got 19 inches last week...

Back to normal here. A foot of snow yesterday, and a low tonight of -23. I was beginning to worry. We haven't had real cold temps since halloween.

I drove home from Birmingham with the sun roof open, the windows down, and some great music on the stereo. 64 or so, and CLEAR BLUE SKIES. God I love Dixie!

The weather services says we got 23 inches here but it seemed like a heck of a good deal more. I'm local to Republic Airport and currently the wind sounds like it wants to blow away my house. Knowing my house, the wind might succeed.
