I like the practice of making images and describing coins, so i'll toss this in here, it's one of the best coins that I keep at home, but will be making a trip to the bank next week, and will try to wow the snake later.. anyway,

This is an 1806 half dollar, the knob 6, stem through claw, I can't find the tag but I think I remember something about O- (someone help me here) and R4 or 5, the coin is in original surfaces Very Good condition, with characteristic weakness in the reverse cloud 5 and stars 4, 5, 8, and 9; only 4 letters of the motto remain. The coin does have several light and apparently old scratches on both sides, and some pecks on the reverse, not inconsistent with VG but preclude any claims to Fine, they could possibly be contemporary test marks from the early years when these coins were just coming out, a quick scratch and an experienced eye could tell if a piece of metal was real silver or not, much better than trying to bite it! This coin obviously saw lots of "action" before it was pulled from circulation, variously saved and traded for about a hundred years, and found its way to me. The coin resides in a Whitman 9435 Type Set album that was also obtained used, it dates from 1965-1970, because it has spaces for clad coinage but not Ike dollars.

Those hairlines are actually on the holder (it is slabbed AGC MS65).

You really should look into having that reslabbed. Those scratches are very distracting. In fact... if it were me I'd be thinking "upgrade".

Here's a Frankie I tried to upgrade to a 67. There are a couple tiny hits on the bell, near the middle, that keep it in a 66 holder. The luster is superb. Please attack this coin.
