Turn around times PSA or SGC

Sorry, I have not been on the board in a while or submitted anything. Just wondering what recent experiences are as far as turnaround time for orders.
– Thanks

Not good. Psa bought sgc and now there grading takes 4 months min.
My last psa order received march 11th with due date of July 17th is still at psa and not done. Was expected to take 85 BUSINESS days and is currently on BUSINESS day 155 of 85. Was in assembly for 4 months and after calling 3 times it’s now in stage of we are going to possibly look at the holder then mail it to you maybe. Been there about a month now.
So calendar days are 229 days and still counting. For 9 card order.
Sgc also long wait and I think they now use the same machine to grade just like psa. Grades seem the same not like before. If you are flipping modern I guess you have to pay faster sevice 599.00 to get it back before everyone finds out he o she is all hype. I can see how these waits could affect modern flipping.
    Good luck

PSA is Double whatever their estimate is. My 6-month order took 12 months.

I'm at Encapsulation on day 123 for a 7 pack order... so you're telling me I've still got a while to go 😪

Isn’t $60 per card the cheapest level for individual cards? It looks like 200+ days to get back. I would expect better service than that for the price you pay.

Me too. And SGC is at $50 a card, with a 4 month turnaround.

CGC is an option, at $20 a card for Economy tier. But you'll wait about 4 months as well.

I don't believe that CGC is still at 4 months. They seem to be running the most behind currently. Some orders take months to get entered even. Sent two PSA orders ($80ea) and two CGC orders (Economy) at the same time, PSA are in encapsulation currently, CGC haven't been entered. Obviously this stuff can change on a dime as these companies aren't held to their word on TATs.

My last sgc was June 3rd to October 9th if it helps. 4 months seems to be the goal. Cant see them being swamped now. But they seems to want it to take 4months to process.

Just got an email that PSA has re-opened Value service -- and also modified turnaround times to be a little better across the board

    From their announcement:

It’s bizarre to me that their current estimates are 40 days and have been for a week or two. If they are even remotely close to that, someone who sends in cards 3 months after me will get them back 3 weeks after me.

Same here. My 21-card vintage order received by SGC 30 July, no movement. Expecting late Nov/early Dec. At $50 per card now, it will be my last submission to SGC.

After reading all the bad news on this thread, its no wonder why I quit sending in subs to any grading company.

Let's hope so. They told me they were going back to old system in December or January 1. Been hiring quite a few people. SGC will probably be the go to on sports card for the next year or so.

Darn, Just knowing you can have your own personal grader each and every time for $3 should be a huge factor for a guy like you. I know it's what you want in other aspects of your life. Just not grading huh? And in NYC the home of many people like you who are going to save money, have your own grader and no lines. WOW!!

The Flying car does look cool. I bet everyone in NYC will have one soon, that's the place where everybody has everything for nothing!!

Maybe Collectors Universe should change up the grading companies a bit. Let PSA or SGC grade sports cards and the other grade non sports. That might help keep from getting backlogged like they are now.
