Seems difficult to use. Try holding a coin in one hand and this device in the other. For a lot of us there will always be some movement. I will stick with a digital microscope that sits on a table. Just my opinion.
Of all the images and captions they could have used for their ad, they made an extremely poor choice.
The coin being held by the gloved gentleman and pictured beneath the caption isn’t a Half Disme. And the caption incorrectly reads “MS-65, Finest Known!”. Based on the PCGS pop report, there are three graded higher, one of them being an MS68, which was auctioned a few weeks ago

Hmm… Loose with the facts. So likely private equity? 🤣🤣😂
Nice (Not!) AI ad.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
The picture, and everything on the picture, is AI-generated slop. The coin is the wrong size, the microscope isn't even aimed at the coin properly, the image on the microscope clearly isn't a "live" image of the coin being held since the image has a black background, and the guy is clearly enraptured not by the coin he's holding nor by the image on the microscope, but by the side panel of the microscope itself.
This ad gives me zero information about how the device is actually supposed to be used in practice.

Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice.
I can’t wait until a fresh fish here posts twenty 500x images of their possible ddo/ddr one of a kind mint error.
I know the ad is trash, but has anyone actually seen one of these?
But... it helps you find valuable errors and varieties!
In case you didn’t already check AI, I asked how well it works for viewing coins:
“The WonderQuest Pro Digital Microscope works remarkably well for highlighting microscopic details on coins, but it has specific physical limitations depending on whether you want to view a tiny area or the entire coin at once.
According to promotional claims on TheWonderQuest Facebook Page and user reviews, it serves a specific role for collectors.
Where It Excels: Error Detection & Close-Ups
• Spotting Varieties: The continuous zoom up to 1000x makes it highly effective for finding doubled dies, repunched mint marks, die cracks, and off-center strikes.
• Relief from Eye Strain: Replacing a traditional handheld loupe with the built-in screen means you can examine surface details comfortably without squinting or experiencing eyepiece fatigue.
• Image Capture: The single-button photo and video capture functions let you easily document and save high-resolution reference images of your coin's attributes directly to an SD card.
Where It Struggles: Full-Coin Photography
• Stand Height Limitations: On many affordable digital microscopes of this type, users on platforms like Reddit note that the standard bundled stand is too short. Because the camera cannot move far enough away from the base, you cannot capture an image of the full coin at its lowest magnification—it stays focused heavily on close-up sections.
• Workarounds: Collectors on Reddit suggest flipping the scope's stand backward, placing the base on a stack of books, and dropping the coin onto the table below to increase the focal distance enough to get a full-coin view.
• Optics Quality: Hobbyists on Reddit point out that these entry-level devices function essentially like an upgraded webcam with plastic optics. While perfect for fun or entry-level error hunting, the images can sometimes appear slightly pixelated or over-lit by the built-in LEDs compared to a professional setup.
Would you like to explore higher-end digital microscopes designed specifically with taller stands for full-coin photography, or look into coin-grading software tips?”

Supposedly, it does come with a stand.

I guess AI likes AI ads. It must have recognized its own handiwork or that of its brethren. 🤣
