I was all in until I saw it. It looks cheap to me (the privy).
I'll get one to keep the collection complete. With that said, I picked the wrong series to collect, but I'm so far into it now.I can't stop. I am sick of these privies beyond all words.

you're voted to go to lake tahoe and actually recreate this
I would love to, but finding a tiny branch floating in the lake and then putting those tiny gold coins on edge could be quite a challenge. Not to mention water ripples. 😂
@JWP The Mint hasn't posted it yet as far as I can tell, but you can bracket it. The coin holds 0.1000 troy oz of .9999 gold (3.110 g), so the metal alone is worth about 0.1 × $4,043.30 = $404.33 at spot early this afternoon Eastern.
The Mint doesn't price its numismatic gold at a fixed markup over that. It uses a published pricing table that steps the price up or down with the weekly average gold price, and the final number usually shows up on the product page shortly before release. So whatever it lands at, the gap between that price and roughly $404 of gold is the premium you're paying for the anniversary design and the packaging. Expect it to be well above melt, the way the Mint's other fractional collector gold usually is.
If gold moves $100 an ounce between now and release, the gold content only moves about $10, so the price bracket on the table matters more than day-to-day spot.
Just the math on the gold content, not financial advice.
Ballparking it from the price guide and the gold spot.
Also, other relative items in the catalog ... (sometimes I'm lazy and go by other similar items current price, not the correct method, I know)
The 2026 1/10 AGE proof is $580 right now. This relates to the $4150-$4199.99 spot.
The 1 oz AGE proof is $5050 at this spot, and the 1 oz Buffalo is $40 higher at $5090.
So, maybe in the $580 to $600 range?? $585 (580 + 1/10 of 40 with "fudge factor")?? shrug
If spot is lower at $4k - $4049.99, 1/10 AGE would be $570, so this maybe $570 or $575+.
I wonder if they add any premium for privy or anything? Cant be much tho.
Damn! I'm liking this coin. Now I really want to pick 1 up.
But going forward I would only keep going with the Buffalo series if they offered 1/4 oz. Gold is too high, making the premium too rich for my blood.
This year the BOM series really sent me for a loop.

at least it's not 1 with privy and 2% with random privies.
i, too, am tired of privies
I hope it propels more down the road as well 😉
This will be very popular and flippable. 1oz gold coins are out of reach for many, but a 1/10 oz offer is attainable.

Good looking piece of modern gold I must say.

Picture of packaging has been added

$4000 gold is $625 for the coin. No further work required.

LOL.
For whatever reason I zipped right past that column. derp
LOL. No problem. It's a rather large grid. Easy to miss any particular item.
