Yeah, Ramirez put forth a Mr. October-esque performance last night continuing what he did in the last few games against the White Sox. He didn't have a really good year and battled through that mid-season hamate injury but that's the type of player he's been his whole career. Jose Ramirez has been an unselfish team first player, doing whatever management wanted him to do and playing where needed. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about him.

Series tied 1-1 as the real Indians returned last night, solid pitching but no power or timely hitting. So now we come home for three games.
Rocchio seems unable, right now, to do anything but strike out. In the 9-hole he might need to sit because he’s become a rally killer, he can’t go any lower in the order. It happens in the playoffs, some players rise up above what they really are and others just can’t handle the pressure of it all.
Rocchio is proving to be the latter.

After being "taken to the woodshed" by @Steven59 for losing faith during the White Sox series I'm sort of in a state of disbelief that the Indians are hanging with the Rays like this. Plenty of baseball to be played but it's nice to be up 2-1 instead of down 3-0.

I know Cleveland has two good starting pitchers, a good BP overall and Cade Smith to close, but the Rays are a really solid club with a few dangerous hitters. Add to that the fact that they have a really low strike-out rate. In the first three games they have struck out almost 30 times!! Either the Cleveland staff has stepped it up a notch or the Rays are pressing a bit. I have to think Kevin Cash will "right the ship" so to speak and in tomorrow's game maybe the Rays' batters will be taking more pitches to work deeper into the count.
My GF is going to the Saturday game with her cousin. Trying not to get ahead of myself I've made plans to go to a game if they reach the World Series, even if we have to get SRO tickets. The Home Run porch provides an excellent view of the game. Win or lose, to be able to go to a WS game is almost a fantasy.

My GF is going to the Saturday game with her cousin. Trying not to get ahead of myself I've made plans to go to a game if they reach the World Series, even if we have to get SRO tickets. The Home Run porch provides an excellent view of the game. Win or lose, to be able to go to a WS game is almost a fantasy.

And, I didn't know this untill listening to a caller on WTAM 1100 AM today but the Guards games for this series are on "WQHS UniMás" channel in North East/Central Ohio if you just have an antennae hooked up to your TV, for me (Lorain County) it's channel 61.2 - comes in clear as can be. But after them winning while I was listening to the radio I'm skittish to watch on TV - don't want to jinx them now..........

Bottom of the 7th in a tight game, Indians up 3-2 and I think I hear Cade Smith getting ready.
