While I've decided to give my 1975 and 1976 registry sets to Mile High Card company for their October auction, I've decided to list my 1977 Topps PSA 9's and PSA 10's on eBay. The first 125 cards went up for sale today as auctions and will end on Sunday, August 16th. While the 1977 set was not my highest priority, I always picked up beautiful examples when I found them as I planned on completing the set after I finished my other sets from 1972 to 1983. Nearly all of these cards came from "The Apostle Collection". Phil Apostle was the first person to complete the 1977 set on the registry. At the time he retired it in 2005, it was the #1 ranked set with a 9.19 GPA. Phil was a stickler for quality. In particular, the surface, color, and quality of the image was of the upmost important to him. Some of the cards I will be selling are the most beautiful 1977's I have ever seen. Back when you could afford to do it in the late 1990's, Phil would often break sealed vending cases and pick out the best cards for his collection. Please be sure to check out the cards I have posted and judge for yourself. You can find everything (including some razor sharp 1972's in PSA 8) using the attached link.

WOW what a name from this forums past. I remember Phil posting here and I distinctly remember his passion for '77 Topps. Good times. I also remember him getting very disenchanted with PSA. Frank, YOU are a blast from this forums past as well! It's just mind blowing at how many years have breezed on by .... (my forum name used to be "softparade")

    COPPER is gutter !
