A fellow forum member and I exchanged messages, which led to his contacting PCGS in order to ask if Roger could be reinstated. And the answer was yes. I hope that forum member will post to this thread and accept deserved credit for his efforts. I also hope that @RogerB will choose to participate.

I know one person who it probably wasn't 😈

Happy to hear @RogerB is back, it's a pleasure to read his research. I look forward to more people being able to engage with it here than over at the CAC forums.

RWB will be a most welcome addition to the forum.
He will bring a treasure trove full of advanced numismatics doctrine.

Thanks for posting the good news, @MFeld.

edited to add: If he chooses to post here.😉

When I participated in the NGC forums regularly years ago, RWB was a positive contributor, IMO. I'm glad he's been reinstated here.

Can I ask who @RogerB is? I think I know, but for privacy I don't want to publicize his last name. Is he an author to many numismatic books? Either way, great to have a member back, sounds like he has a lot to contribute to the forum from what members are stating.

Roger strikes me as someone who doesn't play word games or considers the sensitivities of others when writing his truth. I don't know why he was banned but I doubt he will change his style to remain in good standing. It may be best he stays away and continues his posts on other forums.

As it is well known, and he is a published author, I feel I can reveal it. It is Roger W. Burdette (formerly RWB here and currently RWB on the NGC Forums).

RWB has an intense personality is my observation. I've never met him in person but totally understand how an intense poster like Burdette can encounter difficult individuals in this forum. Banned for life, however, should be reserved for the most egregious violators of forum rules.

Roger has been participating in VAMWorld on a fairly regular basis for the past several years and enjoys interacting with people that pick up on some of the findings from NARA boxes he finds.

    +1 here, too.
Plus, Roger bought a Piedfort designed Omaha Coin Cub medal from me after Mitch Ernst ( Coinhuskers) called 16 years ago to say there were some limited ANA sponsored tokens leftover. So I purchased a few. Thanks RWB for your purchase of one. ‘twas one of 53 struck in an ounce of silver, celebrating Omaha Coin Club’s 75th Anniversary in ‘09. The half ounce silver and copper ones were also limited. .

    The good ol’ days……
were still like fifty years before then , I suspect. :joy:

Always enjoyed reading and conversing with Roger on the other forum
and glad that he has been reinstated. He tells it like it is but is no worse
than some members that I have read on this forum.
    Welcome back Roger

Roger is just logical and doesn't back down. There are a number of posters here with an identical mentality. There is nothing wrong with it, although I'm biased because I am also a very direct person.
